Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
after all that work, the reinstall fixed it. i'm still using XMP settings for my ram, and i'm still overclocked to 4.3ghz and my computer hasn't frozen for a week.
who would've thought..thanks guys.
nice build. i myself have a tj08 with the i7 2600k, but the same p8p67-m board. mine's not quite as quiet as yours but it's a pretty clean case IMO. it's hard to get your cables arranged in this case though because of the lack of routing space behind the motherboard plate. mine's neat enough for...
I got it in an email from microcenter. it's b&m only and it says prices good 7/1 to 7/3 so you'd need to jump on it soon. it just says:
"$40 OFF ANY Intel Compatible Motherboard with the purchase of a 2nd Generation Intel Core Processor"
and then they listed their regular...
+1 on the go-to-microcenter.
Microcenter has the 2500K for $179.99. But right now if you buy a sandy bridge chip and mobo together, you get $40 off..which would bring the processor down to $139.99 - right in your budget. Further, because it's a 2500 "K" it has an unlocked multiplier and you...
thanks for the suggestion otoc. i've already disabled all of the hard drive sleeping / system hibernation, etc. settings (LPM is disabled as well..also did the registry hacks) to no avail.
sok0, i guess reinstalling windows 7 is my last resort before I am ready to RMA. i'm not sure how to...
if adobe products don't get a large boost from quicksync (which i just read they don't necessarily) i would just stick to the 570 and z68 in the following setup then, which I assume would work?
onboard HDMI -> TV
570 DVI 1 -> primary monitor
570 DVI 2 -> secondary monitor
having separate...
is it somehow possible to use quicksync and output to 3 monitors simultaneously using a gtx 570 & z68 board?
i plan to have this setup:
1 output to the TV
1 output to my primary monitor (all transcoding & a/v editing takes place here)
1 output to a secondary monitor (for other things)
Just making sure that that was it. It used to say IRST but then after I did that (before) it changed to Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/DO SATA RAID Controller. I tried it again just to be sure and it's the same driver (ICH8R/9R/10R etc.). The crashes happened even after I had deleted the IRST...
how do you uninstall the drivers? i didn't see them in device manager. the version i reported of the driver was what was displayed after post but before windows boots...it's the screen that shows the drives as RAID 0 and says hit CTRL+I for configuration.
thanks for the reply -- I thought that those were the latest drivers as per the download page though?

P8P67-M Pro 0713 BIOS
Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver software V10.1.0.1008 for Windows...
BIOS is 0708. I tried to update it a while back and it wouldn't work with XMP and it messed with my OC so I had to roll it back to my old profile on 0708.
IRST is 10.1.0.1008 or something along those lines.
edit: just updated bios again to 0713. settings were a little funky still but after...
Event Viewer's log is quite interesting. I noticed the iaStore error that many people have reported (and went through the registry changes that people had noted to do..setting LPM, LPMDSTATE, DIPM (or DPIM?), etc. last night. I'm hoping that fixes it but there's only one way to find out.
That...
spoke too soon. i added a second case fan today and was running prime95 side-by-side with netflix and the freeze occurred once more, for about 60 seconds. thoughts?
