Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

That's caused by Kassbot. I just ran across this one a few days ago. If you check the task manager, you'll notice that every time you try and open an exe a new "spools.exe" process will start up. If you start up in safe mode and remove the spools.exe file...which if I recall correctly...
Screw that part of the article, I wanna hear more about Fusion. :D I'm really curious how that's all going to work out..
But yeah, as soon (see the optimism?) as the Phenom gets competitive, I want to see how the market'll shift, and maybe I'll stop losing money on my AMD stock. I am not...
Found the UL number (actually what I was looking for when I said FCC). It's a nice blur of ink, but I believe it's e164554 -- UL link nothing matched specifically on the specs...but that's the page. Like I said previously, unless this thing dies, I'm not going to be able to take it apart, and...
Unless I can find a way to open it up without voiding the warranty, I won't be able to. We end up using the samples in one way or another. The UL id isn't readily apparent on the outside, nor can I see a sticker on the inside through the grating... Will update when/if I've got more.

Well I admitted to being enlightened. But the person who looks down on everyone else doesn't look to learn. I've added exactly -nothing- technical other than an attempt to cool a rising temper on your end. chill.

Pxc, don't go being passive aggressive at the end of your posts, I don't know if that's typical, but you start to lose clarity when you start formulating the best jabs at the end of your posts (or at the beginning, as I'm sure this very sentence could be thought of). I'm being enlightened by...
For some reason, I feel the need to chip in just this one post and see what happens...
On the one hand, pxc, we've got you, saying that the power usage for your processor running every single transistor it can, seems high, as there is the rest of the system to account for, and nobody uses...
Not new eh? Our rep said they were a new product. I'd believe you though, anything to get business. I see they go up to 850w. Nothin special below that point. The dynex power supplies have been decent enough when we see 'em come through, but I've got this thing against Best Buy brands.

Minor update: We just got a 350Watt sample in, it's got dual rail 12v, one at 11A, the other at 14A...but it's uncannily similar to a Dynex power supply, down to the connector ends, honeycomb backplate and 120mm fan.
Not impressed.

Omega: I've found every single IBM laptop manual on their support website.....HOWEVER! For the T20-22 and A22m models, I had to just recently look them up, click on an unrelated manual, decide that it wasn't it and then look at the related hits on the right and found it there. There seems to be...
I should change my name to Longshot, simply because I go for the longshot option first. Sorry it didn't help you out.
As far as decent software support and the like, I have to say IBM thinkpads, now the Lenovo thinkpads are awesome that way. They are sometimes a bit spartan (I still haven't...
At the extremes, it can get hot, but we had one come in that had the front LED's stop lighting up and the wireless card was non functional, even after replacement, and it was part of the "recall". That's the only reason I mention, because I asked her if it got hot, and she said no...not saying I...
If you still have this laptop, there is actually an extended service plan for overheating in pretty much the entire dv2,4,6, and 8000 lines. Check out their page on this issue, see if it's covered. It still leaves your hands for a while. On that page there is also a mention of a bios update...
Oof, I didn't even notice the 70% there...looking at ours now, they're not so great either. Thanks all, sorry for the false start. Here's to becoming an actual forum member.
