Lift's Octadecarotor Aircraft is Almost Ready to Fly

Noise....noise....noise... I love that all these videos play this wonderful music, because if they didn't we would all say, no fing thank you. We all know how loud a small drone is...now amplify that...now not only amplify that, but add 10 or so in the air at all times in a downtown core. We...

New York Passes Minumum Wage Law for Uber and Lyft Drivers

The problem started when these companies skirted the laws that force the taxi companies to pay huge fees to run their businesses. I don't think it's fair they had to endure this either. Just as hotels which again pay a lot to be listed as a hotelier and follow regulation had to endure AirBnB...

    Cryptocurrency Prices Plummet Even More

The point is it was only 2 weeks ago it was at the same price, and a week before that it touched the same price...look at the chart over the last 6 months. It's not a dive when it's trading in a channel. Now look at BTC/Eth/ltc over the same period...that's not in a channel, that's in freefall.

    Cryptocurrency Prices Plummet Even More

I don't know why people are saying XRP dived...it went from 51 to 43c...it was 43c back on Oct 28th and again on the 22nd...it's traditionally been a stable coin around the 30-70c mark and that's based on what it's meant for. It's not supposed to be a speculated coin like btc/eth/ltc/ etc. In...

Odyssey+ VR Headset Solves the Screen Door Effect

This shows a 60hz/90hz refresh. I hope it's not achieving this through interpolation and it's only native 60hz. I wish I could test this sucker out, but I bet the nearest one to me is hours away.

Analyst: “Five, Six, Seven Years” before Intel Can Fix Its Chipmaking Process

Intel has stated in their own chip roadmap the fixes are in place in canyon lake. and they’ve also stated the expectation of the in-hardware fix to the issue will completely restore the performance loss of the microcode and software fixes. It shouldn’t take 3-5 years. The lithograph issue as...

Console Plebs Not Allowed to Play with Keyboard and Mouse Gamers in Fortnite

I game almost entirely using a controller on my pc. Personally I also don’t play competitive FPS though but it would be nice to play with some friends that only have a console.

Analyst: “Five, Six, Seven Years” before Intel Can Fix Its Chipmaking Process

Of course you can fix it...it's called a new chip. As they've said, they've caught it in the new Canyonlake chips coming in 2019 and going forward. I'm not trying to suggest it's great, but there's a solution not far off and they say the chips will regain the lost power. Personally I have a...

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Demo Is Hobbled by Real-Time Ray Tracing and Other Tech

Yup, I definitely have to eat humble pie. But as you said you question everything and so do I and there was just too many places saying various things. I just don't understand why they would even bother with RT this gen if the 2070 may not even be able to handle 1080p30(if Metro's target is...

First RTX 2080 Benchmarks Hit the Web with DLSS

True, the 1070 traded blows with the 980ti, the 970 traded blows with the 780ti. I think the 2070 is about 10% slower than the 1080ti, it's possible with DLSS the 2070 will beat it in those use cases where it can be turned on though. The 2080 looks to be about 15-20% faster than the 1080ti...

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Demo Is Hobbled by Real-Time Ray Tracing and Other Tech

I'm not ignoring, I'm asking for clarification. I've asked all of them so far. Couple Youtubers that were there that didn't mention 1080p or 4k, couple article authors(including Anand's, PCgamersN, etc). One place said the monitors were 4k displays, Anand says they were 1080p displays. One...

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Demo Is Hobbled by Real-Time Ray Tracing and Other Tech

Jensen said all the demos he was going to show on stage were run at 4k. There was a demo of SotTR showing during the stage presentation. IF you think that the guys that can't and didn't see the resolution settings, yet claim 1080p30-70fps(on a 4k monitor btw, and yes I see the confusion saying...

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Demo Is Hobbled by Real-Time Ray Tracing and Other Tech

The point is we are still seeing a significant visual change in the scenes, so some cheating or not, it's doing it's job just fine. I mean look at character models vs their actual models in game. There is a massive lowering of poly's happening when transferred into a game engine, but with...
