Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
That is really nice, I'm also on a 5950x at the moment and looking to upgrade at some point in the near future. Fantastic build you've got there!
(Also this is my first post in many many years since I figured out how to log back in!!)
Here's the other desk, I just had a couple monitors lieing around and an older PC which is on the other side of the desk, you can't see it. (It's Nothing special):
It's all one unit, got it from Ikea, here's a link with a better view of what it looks like...
Apologies for ressing an ancient thread but I thought I should update everyone on what's going on. The answer is that there is *Absolutely no resolution to the buzz*. None of the manufacturers have attempted to confirm the issue and it still persists.
I did, however, overcome my immediate...
The OP. Stalker has the best DX9 implementation to date, far superior to Farcry and HL2, if you can't see that then there's obviously something wrong with your system. The dynamic lighting is THE BEST I've ever seen in a game, better than Oblivion, better than *.FPS.
Even though this game...
You know there's a forum thread on nVidia's site 28 pages long and with over 40,000 views with people experiencing the "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding, but has succesfully recovered." error message that you mentioned in your article Kyle. Seems to be a major issue with the latest...
The 8800GTX makes an electronic buzzing noise when any 3D app are open. You're talking about the noise levels, well it's very noticeable, on some more than others, at least the 4+ or so I've tried. The fan is not really that noisy, noise levels are totally acceptable with that. If only they'd...
Update:
This one is getting so bizarre. I spoke to the very helpful Tech Support guy at MemoryExpress and he's been battling to troubleshoot the issue. Apparently no matter what hardware configuration is being utilised the buzzing noise is there, he's swopped out motherboards/ PSU's/ many...
I sent the entire PC into Memory Express so hopefully they can find what the problem is. I hope it's nothing too serious but it seems as though many other people with this problem on this forum are coming out of the woodwork so maybe all of this info will be helpful to somebody somewhere down...
It's going to be difficult to quote everybody so I'll just dump it all into this post.
All around, good points to consider, thanks for the tips.
Kango: The second machine I put the 8800 into was an HP Workstation XW6200, it's got a 500w PSU rated to handle a second CPU, this one only had...
