    Best way to convert 12V to 24V

    You can't use a transformator to transform DC, they can only transform AC. Where do you have a -12 VDC and +12 VDC source in your PSU? Mine only gives +12 VDC, afaik. If yours does give + and - 12 VDC, the difference is obviously 24 VDC, so you could use that.
