Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I really begin to think that it just might be the PSU, I cant reproduce the "error" ..it is all so random..
hmm any way to fix the PSU ? or do I really have to buy a new one ?
well the only problem is, I cant connect my Sata drive to the psu.. :(
btw, I tried to install the driver that came with the x1800xt.. after the install I benchmarked many times, with many benchmarks, played HL2.. etc.. no shutdown.. but +12v went down to 11.712 many times but it didnt shut...
I dont know someone with a 20+4 psu.. but I got a decent 20 pin atx around here.. somewhere.. hmm Antec Truepower 480W, might that work ? but I dont want to kill my mobo..:(
my temperatures:
CPU: idle- 32°c, load- 41°c
MB: idle- 28°c, load 29°c
GPU: idle- 51°c, load 58°c
quite cool, no overheating
I know that small drops on the PSU is "okay" , when I dun run a game its still jumping from 11.904 to 11.84 non-stop.. but the drops I'm talking about are...
on software its like .5 offset.. but still it shouldnt drop, am I right? and I clearly see drops.. from 11.949v to 11.711v .. I dont need a multimeter to see that this is not right.. :(
What else could be the cause for the shutdowns ? (remember only in games.. or 3d benchs..)
Hello, this is my first post here..
I bought high-end hardware for my dream machine, build it together, ran into few problems but could solve them.. (nothing to worry about)
Then I installed Windows XP SP2 Pro, and ran 3DMark05.. after few minutes my system turns off.. my first tought...
