    As skillz said, on my system each work unit that is running takes 100% of a core / thread. The "USE AT most XX% for the CPUs" option ends up changing how many work units will run simultaneously, leaving logical cores not running anything if I lower this setting. Once the VM runs out of work...

    Bombs Away! I managed to not grab quiiiite enough WUs for my boxes, so sadly the old dual cores were idle for most of a day. I actually ran out on the i7 three days ago, but on that machine I was able to spin up another BOINC instance in a VM to keep it busy thankfully.
