Performance seems so erratic in this game. I get better performance in single player than in multiplayer but even on all normal with no AA I only get 25-35 FPS on the ground. I wonder if its that extra 512mb vram that helps so much. e8600 @ 4ghz 4870 512mb 4gb RAM

E6750 and tuniq tower, these temps look right?

Ive got an e6600 and a tuniq tower and my temps were similar at stock voltage. People with the same stepping of chip Ive got all reported similar temps.

All the fun comes when your done and you see how much you have gained :) Its when you get 7 out of 8 hours of orthos done and your stuff fails is when its a PITA. Ive never done this before so at least Im learning, for you and most other people its probably a lot more draining.

    E6600 Temperature

57C is very warm for idle. You should be getting around that temp for load. Since your crashing I doubt a temp sensor is off. I would start by re-applying paste and if that doesnt work, make sure your IHS isnt concave.

Ive used the 77% stuff without much problem. Temps are the same as when I used 91%. Just dont get anything fancy with perfumes.

Yeah thats probably a safer choice. Ill keep pushing this CPU though. Its 8hrs orthos stable, tested overnight. I might take a break from overclocking for a few days because I havent had much time to play some games and just have fun.

    Let's talk E6600 batches

Na I havent checked it with a DMM. Im not sure how actually, but maybe Ill read up on it and find out whats really going into this CPU. BF2 was rebooting my system while loading so Ive gone back to run Orthos some more. Im pretty sure my problems are from me running the memory on an odd...

Just an update on mine. 3.4ghz was fine for 5 hours in Orthos. Given, I should run at least eight hours, but that will come when I get this chip to a higher speed. Ill move onto 3.5 tomorrow. Here is a picture of voltages Ive get set in the BIOS. Its set to 1.39 but "current" always reports lower.

    Let's talk E6600 batches

Im jumping around forums looking for info on these chips because there is so little of it. This is what Ive got if it helps any. Im testing 3.4 at them moment with 1.39v set in the BIOS but its not quite that high when you factor in the vdroop on my evga 680i. If 3.4 checks out after...
