I figured out what the problem was... One of the ground pins on the PCI - Molex connector was pushed out, couldn't tell till I was taking the card out. I guess the ATI drivers cause the card to pull more power, even when booting & it just died.... and I went through all that work... lol

Actually I lied, the screens resolution is 1680*1050 (Samsung 206bw). I have an older CRT that can do high resolutions, up to 2048* something I think. I think I might just take the card / computer into work & test a few things there. I doubt it's power since I have an antec 550w psu, but I can...
