Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I wasn't really making hard, I just wanted opinions on performance gain from doing it this way. But either way for 40$ for a 250GB or so drive theres really nothing I can lose. Worst case scenario I get an extra 250GB of storage space.
Loss of data on the Raid array is not really a...
Well I am sorry I even posted this. Maybe I should have mentioned I was just looking for a quick cheap solution to get a bit of performance gain for a primary drive. If I had the money to buy a new SSD or Two I would have just done that and avoided asking this question to begin with. Like I...
Well I just got done spending 350$ on PC upgrades this month, so yea "Hoping" to get an extra 40 bucks to throw at another HD. But if Raid0 isn't going to make much difference performance wise maybe I'll just stick with what I have or just get a cheap 1TB drive for more space. Can't afford an...
Yea, I read about that issue. Fortunately I never store anything I wish to keep on my OS drive. Everything that I want to keep for the long run goes on my storage drives. I just use the OS drive to install programs/games or keep things I only plan on keeping temporary so Raid0 seems like the...
Just posting back an update: I received my VAC last Thursday along with my new Motherboard and CPU. The VAC really made the the whole re-build process so much better being able to clean everything thoroughly before I re-installed. The power you get in this little handheld device a great...
Hello,
I am new to the idea of setting up a raid setup. I have always known about it, but never actually looked into it until recently. I only recently bought a second Sata hard drive, so I thought I would look into setting up a Raid.
As I said I was new to the idea of Raid setups and...
I am not sure if you read what I posted. It is running fine right now with all 4 slots filled(8GB) at 1066mhz with 2.2v. It also works fine with 8GB at 800mhz and 2.1v.
However for some reason it won't run stable with 4GB(first 2 slots dual channel mode) at 1066mhz, but runs fine at 800mhz.
Strange results with the new setup. New parts again: MSI 790XT-G45 + Phenom II X4 955.
I tried running the ram with 4GB and 8GB at 1066mhz with 2.0~2.1v. The system would boot up into the desktop and then BSOD about 2minutes in. This morning I tried 4GB at 1066mhz with 2.2v. The system...

In anticipation waiting for this thing to arrive, I looked for some demonstration videos of how well it can blow dust. This video shows some good power that I didn't expect at first.
The ram is rated for 2.0-2.1v. I tried 2.0v - 2.2v and all settings gave a fluctuation of results. I think lower voltages gave a BSOD and higher gave a silent re-boot. But no matter how I set any bios settings, it always crashes at the Windows 7 Logo screen just before the desktop even...
Hello,
I am wondering how well the odds are that my new setup will run my current 8GB set of PC2 8500 DDR2 1066 G.Skill ram at 1066mhz.
My setup will be:
MSI 790XT-G45
Phenom II X4 955
8GB(4x2gb) G.Skill PC2 8500 DDR2 1066(so all 4 slots will be filled)
I am going to have to wait...
Hey sorry to bump this thread again, but hey, the good ones never die.
Anyways, some guys on another tech support forum suggested this to me last month after I mentioned I was looking for a permanent re-usable high pressure air system that wouldn't run me as much as an air compressor and...
