Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have the same question. Very similar build, but went with the Asus Maximus Hero.
I picked up G Skill Ripjaws X Series F3-1600C9D-16GXM on sale, and have no idea if I'm gimping myself or what.
You have crazy love for that glossy NEC. I have the 90GX2 and can't seem to replace it.
Does that new Acer 120hz have a glossy screen? No one seems to mention it.
Funny that. My CCC had been working fine.
Today, Nothing. Can't get it to load. My only(software)firewall is Windows. DIsabled, still nothing.
Where'd that come from?
I have the NEC 90GX2. I love it. But wouldn't recommend if you..
a. cannot block the light source behind you.
b. spend more time reading, or working with it. I prefer my cheapo non-glare 19 Dell at work for that.
If you game, and generally at night/dark room, it's great. The colors just pop...
My desk is similar.
I took the door off. But this really worked.
I took a jigsaw and cut a giant hole on the inside of that computer space towards the back.(Where your feet are). Airflow AND access. Noone can really see it either. They build those computer spaces like you never need to...
crazy, man.
My X-fi install went smooth, no troubles. A few days later I saw that stupid demo disk and loaded it up. Nothing on it so I closed it and ding, ding, can't get to Start.
I rebooted uninstalled, deleted the files and rebooted..OK no worries.
Here's where it got wierd. I...
Hmmmmm... I just got the X-Fi gamer. And some wierd crap happened.
Question, did you install a silly demo disk that came with the card, "Sounds Best on Soundblaster?
If you installed it, let me know.
Same card here, and I was wondering the same thing.
I found a thread, somewhere, where it was mentioned that was the 2D clock(s) to save power and heat.
I cannot confirm.
However, I loaded Company of Heroes last night 1280x1024, everything max and the card was screaming. Not a hitch. Beauty...
Bwahaha. I'm glad you caught this, but I'm not done with you. With Zero's permission..
I'll skip the links because you have all this memorized anyway.
Light OC, stock cooling, and won't touch for 1-2 years if I can get this thing working.

Memory? OK, Mr. Smartypants, now...
"The RAM will be running at 266Mhz anyhow (DDR2-533)"....Can you follow up on this? The original poster didn't seem to catch this, or maybe it's just me. With no OC, Somthing to do with 1:1 with the somthing?
enginurd(and all), your 1st build suggestions are super, but we need a full-on noob...
