Hi all,
Just running AIDA64 system stability test (CPU/FPU/Cache only) and seeing 4.3 GHz across all cores and temps of around 85 C (climbed over time from 81 C). I have PBO on (but not FMAX or whatever the ASUS thing is) and I'm running on a Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) with the latest BIOS...
They do. So they may be in line, but if MC is doing their job - they turn them away. I had it happen to me once. Waited in line only to be booted because I had bought earlier in the month. They've since clarified their policy. Before I thought it was one TYPE of card per month but it is now...
Good point. Coming from GS65s in the past, though - I'm used to it. :) I probably will stop worrying about it. For $200 and risking having some QA problems (mine is flawless) I'll stand pat.
It truly is. What is more insane is there's a 3080 variant for only $200 more! I am still within my return window so I've been watching Best Buy for restocks...
Easier said than done with the risks associated with selling on eBay in addition to both PayPal and eBay fees. Shipping + signature + full insurance costs a grip, too. All things that I would do if I were to ship something so expensive and also "overpriced".

Thank you for the heads up! I checked my local ones website (Saint Louis Park, MN) and there were 3 left. Ran over and I was able to nab one!
What do you guys recommend for thermal paste? I haven't done a build in a minute - last one I used was this...
I don't have that laptop but I have one similar and it does, indeed, mine very well. Low power requirements and cooling is not really a problem. It's about $5 profit per day. I thought I would mine/hash with it but what I've ended up doing is using it for gaming versus my other PCs that are...
Haha. Exactly.
Reminds me of the top comment from the reddit thread on the new NVIDIA mining GPUs:
"I'm gonna buy all the mining GPUs and game on them so they can't get any"
I completely agree with this - but I also disagree with the perspective. Cryptocurrency is part (or ideally should be) of a diversified investment portfolio. Just as I would never tell anyone to put their savings into the stock market. I would tell them the same with cryptocurrency. You should...
