Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have a 2009 32" Sony Bravia hooked up to my PC through a Monoprice HDMI cable for the purpose of streaming movies. For some reason nearly every keystroke and mouse movement causes a strange horizontal/vertical portion of the screen to be distorted for mere milliseconds. Even sometimes when I'm...
ANYONE have a spare one of these around? Every site in the Western Hemisphere is sold out of these(I found a site in India but part of their checkout process is...impassable due to shitty coding on their part) and I really don't want to drop another $60 on a new heatsink for Sandy Bridge.
I'M...
You and me both. I bought the 266H before I knew what I knew now of refresh rates and I thought it did 85Hz at 1200p too. Pissed at the time but I'm over it now. Turns out it's the limitation of the DVI standard.
Have you tried the Reset option in the System Setup Tab? I have no idea what it does...guessing restores to factory state which I really don't want to do as I took too long to get the monitor the way I like it. Try that perhaps?
May I ask why not? What is wrong with wireless for gaming? That's all I've used for years with gaming and have NO reason to switch back to the clutter of wires (save maybe the slimmer selection).
For reference, my roommate was playing it decently with a stock 8800GT and 2 gigs of DDR TWO ram, but he also had a Q6600 @ 3.4. I'm sure if you keep HBAO and AA off you should get some enjoyment out of it.
As of right now, Steam is just completely stalling the download for me. I don't know if this is on account of the rush to download it or me...so frustrating. I don't know why they didn't do a preload yesterday.
"...promises to "significantly outperform" either an Intel or AMD stock heatsink."
Obviously that remains to be seen. It looks awfully basic. Not that that's any indicator of performance, but just sayin...
I vouch for this as well (I have it myself) but just be warned the colors aren't the best and the viewing angle is HORRIBLE. Took me a good amount of adjusting in video card/monitor settings to get something I was satisfied with. But otherwise it's a great monitor.
I think you meant to say 1.05 instead of .95 because using that gives the correct math.
So in that case, a simple change of the EDID is all that's needed?
I've lurked through here quite a bit and have seen the wealth of information that really no other forums have provided on the internet in terms of computer related knowledge. However I haven't quite found what I'm looking so hence my post (if something like this was here recently, I apologize)...
Just got this monitor yesterday so I'll add in a little about it as well.
Couldn't resist the pre-Black Friday deal ($270 PLUS the $30 MIR...just cannot be beat) and was upgrading from Dell S2309W, thinking the added real estate would balance out the average/above average image quality I've...
