    That's the problem, my TV is simply widescreen with component inputs, no EDTV or HDTV yet the ATI drivers insist on it being HD and send the wrong signals. Unless I'm missing something.. I'm going to try powerstrip, I'm still open to suggestions ;) Thanks for everyone who's responded so far.
