    4 Weeks with Radeon R9 290X CrossFire @ [H]

I game at the same resolution (3600x1920) unfortunately bezel correction with portrait + CFX = instant crash in every game I own. After some digging around and contacting AMD I learned that this combination was not going to work and has been a problem for years now. Having removed the bezels...

windows 8/8.1 scheduling disk degrag on ssds by default

the culprit seems to be with the argument -$ in the event "ScheduledDefrag". "<Arguments>-c -h -o -$</Arguments>" removing the $ argument allows windows to just send TRIM commands. Run taskschd.msc and go to microsoft/windows/defrag and you will find the ScheduluedDefrag task. Right click it...

    r9 290 + Accelero hybrid help

How did you apply the thermal paste? I originally made one solid line from top to bottom and temps were in the 70s. I did some research and for gpus one small dot the size of a pea is the way to go. So i reapplied the the small pea size dot and temps dont exceed 50c now.

    Arctic Accelero Hybrid + 290x

did some research and found that a pea size dot of thermal paste is much more effective for GPU's. i orginally applied the paste with a straight line across the gpu. re-applied a small pea size drop and temps have lowered another 15-20 degrees. 1230mhz core max temp 45c. Amazed at how...
