    Thermaltake 600W PurePower

Well I was looking at A Silverstone Zeus 560W (single 12v rail), but the local guy I was going to buy off cant get them and recomended the Thermaltake. However I have heard some bad things about the Thermaltakes in general and was wondering if ther was anything specifically wrong with this one...

    Thermaltake 600W PurePower

Well, are these anygood? I read thru the PSU buying guide but it only makes reference to the lower wattage models. This makes 14A, 23A and 15A over 3 12V rails. The problem is I am looking at buying and overclocking a Intel 920D, and have heard that PSUs with multiple rails cant supply the...

Why is Intel dropping the Pentium name?

so we could see intel return to calling their CPUs a 686? obviously they no longer need to diferentiate their cpus from AMD and Cyrix, and by using an un-copyrightable name intel would save money not paying for copyright?

Why is Intel dropping the Pentium name?

I dont think it will matter a great deal. Intel has used the Pentium name for a long time, they are about due for a change... I definately agree that the various naming systems in place atm are confusing to a the average consumer. It makes me laugh when I can walk into a local computer store...

    Intel D975XBX!!!!!!

This is what doesnt make sense to me. Wouldnt the sales made selling 2 cards for SLI more than make up for the lost chipset sales?

When to upgrade? The safest time...

well as far as I can tell 975 will most likely be january, it is likely that 975x and the 65nm dual cores will launch at the same time - as they will only be supported on 975x i think. the problem is that there is no garantee that conroe will even work on 975, although everything points to this...

When to upgrade? The safest time...

the i975x asus boards should be good. the WS version is clocking relatively well i think, and is not even an enthusiast board. there is a P5WD2-e premium coming. this is the enthusiast i975x board by asus. if you can wait, i would go for the i975x chipset, it is due early next year i think...

Cedar Mill based Celeron is an OC king

That was the first thing that I thought of while reading the original post. I just hope that upon release these Celerons manage to be this good.

*cries* This is supposed to be a support group? You should be telling me that everything will be alright, that I can hold out for another 12months. Not telling me that my system lasted you a month? :(
