Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi all.
I built a new rig last October and used my video card from my older rig (6850). My current specs are as follows:
Carbide 400r case
2500k @ 4.4ghz w/ 212+
AsRock z68 gen3 rev3
8gb ddr3
Antec NEO eco 620W
As mentioned in the title I will be playing at 1920x1080, mostly BF3...
Sorry I forgot to edit the original post and add in the 212+ heatsink. Would that RAM and mobo combo have any compatibility issues with that heatsink? I've heard some people say that certain RAM may not fit with the 212+ on certain mobos, so just checking.
Yeah the PSU was my main concern as well. Bought it when it was on sale for newegg's "shellshocker" since it was $35 AR figured I might as well grab it while I could. I posted about this in the power supplies forum and got some responses, everyone said it should be enough, but some that said...
EDIT: Have the parts picked out, just looking for a final check before I buy to make sure I didn't make any mistakes.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming (mainly BF3, Skyrim, etc.)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
~700 but...
Maybe a bit of a dumb question, but I was wondering if the Antec 620W listed in the title would be sufficient to run something like:
i5 2500K
6850CF
1HDD
Other usual things (MB, DVDRW, value RAM, etc.)
After doing some googling I got mixed results as to how people felt about this...
