    Intel Demos 4P Tigerton system

    Is Tigerton 65nm or 45nm. Since Intel is on tract to release 45nm by Late Q2/Early Q3 2007, Tigerton could be 45nm. Hopefully intel has single die quad core by then. That should bring down the TDP.

    Intel with XDR?

    I mentioned both XDR and DDR3. Its always good for consumers to have all the choices. Last time Intel launched PIV with only RDRAM which was overpriced and hence it was a bad choice. XDR2 seems to have way more bandwidth than RDRAM. It should be very useful for XE quad core or servers.

    Is there any chance that intel would release XDR based chipsets for 45nm core shrink. This is being speculated by TheInq which I know is not too reliable. But I hope it is true. If Intel can offer both XDR and DDR3 as options it would be great...

    Woodcrest 6/25/06 product availability, Cloverton Q1'07

    Its great that woodcrest will consume only 65w. For a 3ghz cpu with 1.33ghz bus its fantastic. Is there a reason why intel is not producing MP version of woodcrest. I hear stories that Tigerton will not release till 2008 (maybe wishful thinking of AMD !!!!!!s). But whatever the reason Dell...
