Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Yeah, a lot of the older motherboards have problems with 5 series cards. If you're running the latest BIOS and it's no-go then there isn't anything you can do.
You *could* return the card, or just get a new motherboard. AM2+ boards can be had for under $50 these days...

The visuals in Avatar were great - it really was an 'experience,' even with the silly glasses. Seeing a couple of films in the theatre is OK with glasses, but is something that would be unforgivable at home. The wost part about Avatar was technical - there was damage on the screen that stood...
** NONE ** of these devices are for the non-enthusiast types. The Western Digital media players seem to be the best of the lot (just don't update the firmware on the WD TV Live) but none of them are really great. Anything with a network port doesn't seem to work well if you're not connecting...
You know that nVidia is no longer making chipsets, right? nVidia hasn't made a good chipset since the nForce4 (my ASUS A8N-SLI Premium based PC is now my HTPC) so nobody really cares. Anyone who bought a nForce based Intel system lived to regret their purchase - thanks Bumpgate.

Sapphire 5850 here, 9.12s, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - bought the card the first day it was available. No problems other than glitches in the initial driver (which was expected).
