Ive been around here for quite a while but dont post much. Always come here for display info. I figured I'd Post up my new Display since you guys are very responsible for my selections :)
I would like to add that this Monitor is an Excellent choice for PC monitor. You must use the DVI to VGA...
Ive owned this monitor over a year. Recently I decided to calibrate it again because of slight eye strain after long gaming sessions. (dam wow)
Anyway I tried all the calibration settings in this thread and nothing seemed "right" They seemed good but off just not the way it was meant to be...
clear type off on y laptop....my old pf225f viewsonic crt.....and on every single screen i ever owned....it is an artificial enhancement that adds a bold effect to make the text more viewable.not clearer.
EDIT- I aplogize , after thinking baout it, its not that i dont use a method of cleaning...
I just dont get it, i have the same monitor and it is by far the sharpest text at least over the dell and gateway 24's i had...i do not use clear text cause it sucks and makes text blurry by making it bold like.
Text just cannot get clearer and i have 20/10 vision. unless i got an oddball...
look if what you say i true and i have no real reason not to believe you, then your monitor is very very defective.
There are absolutly NO black or white crush issues with the lg 24 inch monitors. It one of th very big reasons i purchased the monitor. and several others reported no crush issues...
again for in yet another 24 thread.
owned the gateway for 2 days , sent it paking back to dell...everything dark looked like a glazed doughnut. to much backlight bleed and angle brightness bleed shifting

color accuracy on the hp is aweful....i had the 22 lg aewesome display.....returned thouhgh for the 24 lg...also...the best 24
22 and 24 lg is the winner hands down imo
the ghosting on the 2407 isnt really an issue, but this lg kils the dell in soooo many ways.
The 2407 has lighing shift when moving left and right on dark and light areas, the lg does not.
The 2407 has black crush and is hard on the eyes on dark shdes form dead on...The lg does not
The 2407 has...
do not hesitate get it....the only game i really play is also wow.
I dont believe this panel is an ips. a 24 ips is 1600 ala the nec or eizo.
BUT with that said...i now believe there is ALOT more that makes a panel than the screen....
because this thing is as tight as my 20 ips dell...
dual link is for resolutions higher than 1920x1200...the extra bandwidth is needed then.
if anything is lower res than single link is fine and any link to hdmi is fine.
i think it is the same panel type, but i can tell you that after owning both and even seeing the lg 22 tn panel that all this talk over screen technolgy doesnt mean all to much unless your a professional grahpic artist and need full professional color gamut.
because this lg exhibits non of...
