Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
How often have fellow Hardforum members experienced hard drive failures when using Raid 0? I'm thinking about buying two of the Caviar Black 640GB drives but I'm hoping they'll last a reasonable amount of time.
While we're on the topic of EVGA being confusing with their products what's the difference between this GTX 285 Super Clocked

I'm having problems getting my e8400 to 4.0 GHz. I was able to get it to 3.6 by adjusting just the Vcore.
Can't seem to get 4.0 GHz @ FSB set to 445 MHz (445 x 9). I set the Vcore as high as I was comfortable with at 1.39375 (1.368 in CPUZ). Orthos gave an error after 1 minute. What should I...
Will I still need a toslink cable? The end of that adapter looks squareish and the cable that came with the card has circular ends, but it does transmit the red light from the card. The cable securely connect though
I fixed the problem I was having with the P5E. Now I want to get some new RAM but I want to make sure it is compatible. I'm looking at G.Skill and OCZ Reaper.

I have an E8400 CPU and an ASUS P5E mobo. I'd like to get some DDR2 1066 and there seem to be three popular ones at Newegg.

Looks like Auzentech finally uploaded drivers for the Prelude on their website. You need to type in your serial number though, and as luck would have it mine is invalid. Gimme a break:eek:
I'm having some problems getting this X38 motherboard to POST. I know you guys might suggest rebuilding but before I do that let's see if I missed plugging in anything. On the motherboard there are a couple things I didn't plug in. One's labeled SPI/SP1 (can't tell) and one's ADH. Here's what...
Will a Dual Link DVI cable help improve the quality of the signal to my monitor? IE. reduce the delay from what I do on the mouse onto the screen? I have a single link DVI-D cable but I'm using a newer graphics card and monitor and I can tell they have dual link dvi-i ports.
Thanks freaksaviour I'll definitely keep that in mind for shopping around. The reason why I initially asked is because I just purchased a graphics card to be used with a PCI Express 2.0 slot. None of the suggestions prior to my post listed that in the specifications.
I guess I should clarify has anyone had any problems getting the two to get along with each other? Seems some motherboards are really picky about the RAM they want.
