My brother is upgrading his computer in the next month or two, at which point I was aiming to buy a 4850 and give him my 8800 GT. The only games I'm really playing ATM are WoW and TF2, neither of which are proving too taxing. The bigger bottleneck for me right now seems to be the CPU/RAM.

I just came across a 7900GS that would cost $100 after the Mail In Rebate. Would this be recommended over the $75 AR 7600GT, knowing that I'm likely to replace it after a better mainstream card (probably DX10) comes out? Would my V-Series 500W Power Supply still be sufficient?
