Hi Jeff..
About my card (the 9800gtx+ oc).. i was wondering if you can possibly tell us,
why has BFG decided to change the cooler configuration on this and on the 9800gt+ oc models?
(Although the cooler performance is similar using different cooling approach)...
Don't know if any of you noticed, but BFG's 9800gt oc and the plus version have a similar cooler..
(the plus version also comes in two revisions like the 9800gtx+ oc)

I'm from Israrel.. in the middle east.
But "Lifetime warranty" is a funny thing..
it usually means the time that the card will be in your ownership, most people
upgrade their cards within 3 years or less..
nobody keeps the card until the day he (The card or himself) dies :D
as long as your case is properly ventilated, as it should be, you shouldn't
have a problem.. i have an antec p182, so i'm covered.
besides, i checked the temperatures of the cpu and case - they haven't changed.
and the card itself is a lot cooler than the previous one.
Eventually i took the card..
I figured that i have 30 out of 36 months of warranty remaining on it and i shouldn't worry.
Also, it's just as quiet as the previous one and a lot cooler at idle mode
40c the plus one vs. 60c like 9800gtx..
so it's good.. thanks all.
The response mail i got back from BFG:
"There might be a slight difference in the PCB color due to different PCB manufacturers, but as far as I know there is no performance difference. The only difference in the fan/heatsink is that instead of blowing air out the back of the case it...
i'll try sending an email to BFG with the picture..
I want to know if they actually sell these kind of cards..
here's what i sent BFG:

Hello
Recently, i got a new BFG 9800GTX+ OC replacement card using RMA in my country (Israel) and the exclusive...
yes but mine had a "stock" BFG cooler - which was different from the one on the company's
site.. the pics you showed don't have stock coolers but of "Zalman" and "Sparkle" and such..
perhaps i'll get you guys pics later on..
but it looked kind of "stripped".. because the cooler wasn't covering everything and there were
wires sticking out..
funny, i called three other shops today, that are selling this card and they all said
that the cards they supplied to the...
Hi everyone..
Recently my 6 months old BFG 9800GTX died, so i RMA'd it.
I was told by the store owner (from which i bought the card) that the suppier
doesn't have any regular 9800GTX (they were discontinued), so the supplier offered
me a new BFG 9800GTX+ instead.
OK, i got to the...
The 8800GTS is obviously smaller than the 9800GTX..
so you'll have the same problem as mine unfortunately..
I wanted to better cool my HDD using the front upper fan..
but i'll be getting another fan for the lower chamber and see how it goes..
BTW
Can a small 92mm fan be mounted somehow...
