This board is up for an incredible combo deal on Newegg Canada, and its one of the only boards with the specs that I am looking for. However, the board is getting mostly terrible ratings. However ..however, the...
I'm getting mixed signals lol.
I can tell that you guys are getting bored of my build and my stubbornness:)
So I'd like to thank all of you for your help and for ignoring how annoyingly stubborn I am. :P
I'll definitely refer back to this thread VERY often when I'm making more decisions...
Gaming: Sims 3 and very little shooting
PSU - Antec EA380
Will 380 watts be enough?
GPU - I have a P4 computer right now with integrated graphics on the mobo that does everything I need it to. I really don't want to go so far over budget. I'm happy with the Motherboard and the CPU, is there...
Terrible experiences with dell in the the past.
In my house, we've had three dell computers that gave us nothing but trouble.
Plus, I've become so interested in all of this. I want to have the experience.
How much do you guys recommend i spend on RAM and the HDD locally?
I'm pretty sure i want a 500 or 640GB HDD and 4GB of RAM.
Also, now that I'm getting my second choice case, do you think we could keep the budget at $600?
Alright, alright, you guys got to me lol.
So i'll stick with the logisys case.
How does this stuff look?
Mother Board $100.00

It looks like a cross between iron man and a transformer!:P
Tiraides, do you think newegg would actually do that?

Buying another psu would add quite a lot to my total cost though. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to afford it. Also, the X4 810 is a bit too expensive as well, I think I'd rather stick with the X3...
When i say light gaming, I mean real light. As in.. Sims 3 light :$
But, i have been starting to get interested in shooters (not VERY interested, but that might grow..)
Alright guys, I've taken your advice and come up with this:
Mother Board...
Here is my build at the moment:

I found the sweetest case locally (can't find a link). I checked all my components with the guy at the store and I'm good.

Sorry guys, but get ready for ,me to unleash the noob:
So the cons of the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131381 are that it supports DDR2 not DDR3 and that the SB is 700 rather than 710. I understand the RAM slots, but what do the numbers after the SB mean?
