    If you just need the metal cut, try the Torchmate section on Pirate4x4. They are pretty good at cutting them out, and someone may even have a router setup to cut plexi.

    Good job! You are doing good! Stuff like cutting pieces to short is par for the course. I always order extra material for this reason. Also, bending stuff and compensating for thickness, and the radius of the bend can be a PITA. I would expect to do it at least twice! Haha.

    I'd vinyl dye (Or another option) the cables themselves either black, or a similar shade of green. That way the red won't bleed through. Personally, SATA cables are around $3 a piece. I'd just splurge... :D

    You can try to find a similar spec cap on somewhere like Mouser with a smaller profile to replace it. You can remove it, but it is a nice feature. I'd probably just put sheath on either side, and put a piece of heat shrink over the cap. Just watch out that you don't over heat the cap while...
