Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, you mostly speak of overclocking something not everybody wants or need to do on a budget PC. you also fail to mention running ram in dual channel that essential brings double the 667Mhz to 1334Mhz and 800Mhz to 1600Mhz to run with the E6800 1600Mhz. perhaps you don't know much as you...
Oh one more thing lets look at this, pls explain to me how is 800Mhz ram going to make the system any faster then 667Mhz when the CPU only runs at 1200Mhz? If the Cpu was a E6800 with 1600Mhz Then yes I would see the need for 800Mhz.
Guess that would depend on how much money you have to spend. For a system that is under $800. that's not that bad, Sure I could throw something else together for $1200 but didn't know what the poster was working with.
Lets see you do any better with $800 then come talk smack to me. not...

Swap out video card and leave out monitor.
eveything already has been matched for price/performance.
Starter
manage your startup programs
Download that and disable everything that is not needed (leave anti virus and spyware programs on)
Here is all you need besides the ativirus+anti spyware,

Boy $600 extra to run sli? That CPU can't even push 1 Geforce 8800 to it full potential let alone 2 of them.

Save that $600 and buy some DirectX10 Games when they come out here in the next month or so. Your not going...
Have you tried any regular XP gaming tweaks as of yet? To be honest A PCI video card is not really going to be that much better/ price performance not worth it.
I would stay away from ECS motherboards, high failure rate.
Go with a name brand
Asus
MSI
Gygabyte
Tyan
Abit
It would be the best decision. remember its the motherboard that makes it all happen.
