Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I found this thread while looking for any advice on me taking apart my old Saitek Eclipse. I know the thread is basically dead but didn't want to start a new one just to say this. So hopefully if anyone finds this in their searches it'll help them.
The Eclipse version I have had four large...
Yeah I saw those too. They were all micro switches with a thin clear plastic sticker over them to keep people from changing them. Your idea of it being engineering sample sounds pretty close considering that it seems to have so many ways to "configure" it for different things with the fan ports...
Okay it took me awhile to figure out how to do this and further more to get the damned links to work.

Actually no. its not. oddly enough I'm looking around and can't seem to ID the sucker. gonna be pulling numbers off the stickers and trying to get pics if I can.

So I have had a 8800GTS 320mb for nearly 3 years and wanted an upgrade. So I bought a used Visiontek HD4870 512mb from a reputable seller here.
It was probably the easiest physical install of a device I've ever had...and by saying so aloud as I installed it perhaps Murphy's Law decided it...
Would it be possible to invest in some quick disconnects that would go inline just prior to hitting the first gfx card block and do the same on the way back. That way you not only wouldn't have to drain the system to get them out, but if all you needed to do was get them out you could do that...
Actually, some recent research of mine (as well as the above mentioned rocketfish case having fallen victim) is showing that powder coating may not be a great option for modders as good as it looks and as durable as it is. But some of that is also related to the skill and knowledge of the person...
As a fellow modder this is absolutely beautiful. In fact once I finally find myself financially sound again I intend to be doing some similar things to a Rocketfish I acquired in the last month. This is definitely inspiring and brings some simple ideas I hadn't yet thought of as a modder. Kudos...
