[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

Over the past few decades of watching Intel 1000x tray prices and internet prices for retail box, there's typically not much of a gap in price - usually they are about the same, sometimes the retail box will command a $20-30 premium. I think the Newegg price is more like first adopter tax.

    AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Reviews

Yup. The ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO that was included in the reviewer kit did not go bing with one installed. Confirmed with AMD, who said it was a motherboard manufacturer decision for implementation. As you can see from the linked tech specs, only NVME is listed as being supported on the...

    AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Reviews

On the M.2 front, some boards are not supporting SATA on M.2 (which has previously been fairly ubiquitous). If you're using M.2 SATA drives, check the board specs carefully to confirm they are supported.

Does this EVGA 3080 Ti just much cooler than expected, or is there another sensor I'm not looking at?

I'd say your experience is within the ballpark of expectations for that card. Also, keep in mind that different games, resolutions, feature settings (RT/DLSS) and even different areas within games can end up producing different temperature results and different boost clock results. I saw 78.3C...

ASUS RTX 3080 TUF 10GB LHR - unpleasant RMA experience.

I'm just trying to understand if he has a true issue with his card not working as designed (i.e. not stable while gaming), as that would warrant an RMA and indicate poor service without receiving a resolution. But if OP (who is unlikely to be a video card design engineer) is only have an issue...

ASUS RTX 3080 TUF 10GB LHR - unpleasant RMA experience.

Are games crashing and/or is the system unstable?

ASUS RTX 3080 TUF 10GB LHR - unpleasant RMA experience.

So... the memory temperatures are high, but does that mean the card was crashing and unable to play games at its stock configuration? If the card worked, but was hot, I don't see why that's an RMA-able offense as it is working as designed. If it's not stable, OK - that's valid. The other...

    Compare these GPU's - Do I accept?

Fairly immaterial to overall power draw (on the hdds). We are talking about 10w each there. 9600k isn't super power hungry - 95w tdp, so I'd expect a full load for CPU/board under 150ish. 3070 won't top 400 no matter what you do, so 150+400+60 is still a touch under the 650w max of your...
