Anyone have luck with Masterkleer Tubing 7/16" ID 5/8" OD?

I originally used the 7/16 from swiftech ($8/10ft) As reported it can be a pain, but certainly not impossible with some boiling. Anyway, I picked up some 1/2 ID at home depot and ended up replacing all of my 7/16 with it. 1/2 ID was like $5 for 10 feet at HD. With some bends, I needed...

Better seperates than Swiftech H20-220 APEX for cheaper?

I'm using gigabyte aurora 3d w/swiftech setup (basically built an h20 kit individually.. ordered direct from swiftech). And I'm using the scythe fans (1600rpm as mentioned above.. I don't like the noise when run at 100% speed - put them on 12v-9v converters). I'm very happy with it...

best tube cutting tool & where to buy

razor blade is the way to go. 2 or 3 practice runs with it and it'll look like it was done with a pro.

I need a High flow 120mm fan for the front intake to cool MCP more...

look at the scythe fans.. 1600rpm/28dba/60ishCFM they used sony's fluid dynamic bearing technology.. or so they advertise =) I have on and I really like it. two actually. I might recommend stepping down to their 1200 rpm one.

    X1900 with MCW60

I haven't used tray tools yet, I'll have to try it. atitool does let you modify voltages under prefs. Had a small leak on the outlet of my mcres.. had bought a dangerden fill port and some 1/2" ID at home depot. Tonight I'm pulling out the 7/16" and replacing it with the 1/2" and switching...

    X1900 with MCW60

I believe you're referring to the vregs, and I was seeing those get up to 85/90 according to atitool. I pointed a 120mm fan at them and it dropped them considerably, so I'm pursuing mounting a fan in my window to blow down on the card. I have an antec slot blower next to the card but that...

    X1900 with MCW60

So i'm finally up and running (pics to come later).. I used ceramique instead of the AS5 I had, I figured why risk it. Although I did use AS5 on my naked processor.. I'm typing this so it must not have oozed out and fried anything around it =) (knocks on wood floor of kitchen where this...

New Apex Ultra kit: tubing doesnt fit on pump?

The plastic ones aren't bad but are next to impossible to remove once you crank them down. metal/screw type are definitely much easier to put on and take off.

New Apex Ultra kit: tubing doesnt fit on pump?

dishsoap did it for me for most places.. just a very small amount. for the pump i did the boiling water. 7/16 on mcp655. so the same as what you're attempting.

Final Specifications for new rig. Suggestions?

It's great.. it's huge but gives you tons of room to work, especially if you want to w/c. Dual 120mm vents on the rear is perfect for mounting a dual 120 rad. The HD mounting system on the bottom is awesome, it even came with a little toolkit to hold extra parts but I removed it to make...

    ATI Readies Massive Price Slash

Paid $519 for my X1900XT. Saw an XTX for 549 after MIR yesterday.. Might have been Monarch. I'm not a "latest and greatest" kinda guy, but .. oh well. Since I was making 100 grand at the time I'm not too upset. But when I'm back to making 37k/year teaching public high school again this...

    Rad location vs. tubing length

Rather than mount my radiator on the back of my computer, and pull the "warmer" air from inside my case to blow across it, I was considering mounting it on the outside of my desk instead, thus adding another couple of feet of tubing between my rad and the next hop. So my question is.. Where...

Water cooling a A8N Premium chipset

Why don't you want to cut up the heatsink it came with? I cut the heatpipe right where it enters the large sink at the top, then remounted it using the plastic push-throughs. Your rad fans should be pulling air through there so it's fine. Snipping through the metal pipe is a cinch, it's...
