that thing may benefit every CPU because on X3D it forces the game threads on the 3D cache cores,
on non X3D chips it simply higher the priority of the game threads resulting in a more "snappy response" on that threads over the background ones...
dual CCD causes no latency penalty if the CCD contains 8x/8x cores... it's explained in the video I posted.
all people that says the opposite does not have a 7950X3D and has no idea on the matter.
I don't agree completely on this...
HwUnboxed made a good video where you can see that some games is starting to leverage more than 8 cores, giving some benefits to 7950X3D.
All in all 7950X3D is the best gaming CPU currently and the more...
that's not really true.
that article seems a bad cut and paste from this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu12QOQiUUI
as you can see there are various games that benefits from more than 8 cores like Spiderman, Horizon Forbidden West...
Of course it takes time :), as with any overclock.
250w is too little, need more and it's all about which system will run 0.5-2% faster :D
I've also been using AMD for a long time and yes, I agree that nowadays AMD are closer to "just works"...
I build PC since more than 30 years, I doubt that I lack skills ;)
Stabilizing Intel requires too much time and most of the time the stability is only apparent because some "others workloads" may fail.
Stabilizing for AVX2 requires the CPU to run...
Maybe, but this is the HardForum. It should NOT be that difficult. If it is? Buy a Mac. No E-cores to cause issues, no dual CCDs that cause imaginary issues.
I can say that the 7950X3D is the fastest gaming CPU between Intel and AMD (not considering the 7800X3D) because I had both. This is the point.
Most people here talks for what it heard on YouTube or just for trolling.
I had both the CPUs and I...
I'm not a fanboy I really had both 13900k and the 7950X3D and thrown that crappy CPU (intel one) to eBay.
I had the 12900k and then upgraded to 13900k, after two years of CPU throttling, downvolt that created occasional instabilities, RAM...
I had a 13900K and I upgraded to AMD because the 13900K was unmanageable even with a quality 360mm AIO, throttle fest after some minutes of intensive tasks.
I don't see the stutter because there is no stutter.
just to try to reproduce the problems which some people rave about I tried to install super old games, some "indie" or near indie ones...
I tried:
- Contrast
- Firewatch
- Remember Me
- Half Life
- Stray
- Syberia II
- Bioshock
- Rage
- Deliver...
I have a 7950X3D,
I never played a game that does not run on the X3D core but I runned a benchmark that wasn't running on the right X3D core.
what I have done is simply telling to the Xbox Game Bar that that software is a game, and it was an...
Listen to me, buy a console, you don't know how to configure a PC and you are just trolling.
I have a 7950X3D since months and never seen a single stutter.
The only things htat you are supposed to do it to be able to install drivers, and it...
Sure, and 90% are 6+months old. Just like the start of this thread was.
And did you also search this?
https://www.google.com/search?q=7800x3d+stutter+reddit
Again, mostly FUD in here. 7800x3d if you game, 7950X if you work, 7950x3d if you do...
I never had a single problem on my 7950X3D, you are not able to use a PC, people like you needs a console not a PC.
I sincerely doubt that you have ever had a 7950X3D, you look like a troll trolling a product.
Never heard others complaining...
