Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
With another vga screen i dont have any issues, havent been able to try my original one on a different machine. Does anyone have a screen connected to gpu by dvi-i? Do you have the same issue?
With only video off i never had an issue... Only with sleep.
Guy, I COULD KISS YOU! I googled this issue extensively but never saw the thread you posted (maybe because my query didn't use some of those keywords). I changed the setting and after several sleep/wake cycles the problem still hasn't shown it's ugly head. If that changes I'll be sure to post it...
Well I dont think its a kernel problem, sometimes it happens after loading the initial BIOS before loading windows... But still I wonder if this is only applicable to VGA connected monitors? If so, this wouldn't be an issue with DVI (except maybe DVI-A)?
Cant really say, i dont have any other pcs that support this.
But I think i figured it out, i changed the forwarding for udp 9 on my router to x.x.x.255 so that the magic packet is broadcast over the entire subnet and not just my specific address (i figured that dhcp didnt point anywhere...
Any idea how i could check this in win7? I already have ssh in place (via cygwin)
Is this only an issue with VGA? Im new to the DDC thing and i wondered about this after reading the wikipedia entry.
By UPS do you mean an uninteruptible power supply? I couldnt find anything other relevant to this through a google query. If so, I have no such system in place
Hi guys,
I succesfully set up my PC to boot on LAN, everything works just fine, but...
After powering down it only works for about an hour or so, then, nothing happens. I thought it might be because my router cleared the routing table, but I set up DHCP for a static IP so I think that...
I tried it with another screen and the problem wouldnt replicate. When it happens with the original screen, I can plug the other one in and instantly get video, when I then plug the original screen back in it (usually) works fine. This leads me to believe it's an issue with my screen, i've had...
