Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

Do you guys think I should try reseating it again? I have heard you really need to crank down on the screws for mounting, but I feel like any tighter and something could break.

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

I think it was 1.25V. This is not my system below, but the tubes are set up identically. I will post some pics of my system when I get home tonight. I have done this, and it makes maybe 1 degree difference. My case has excellent air flow. What seems odd is that the air coming out...

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

I brought my processor up to 3.7 and it was idling at 56c, and as soon as I started Prime95 it jumped to 85c and then climbed up to 90c in the next 30 seconds. Does that seem right?

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

Think I put a tad to much AS5 on the first time. I just reseated it again, and now im back to idling at 40c and 65c under load. I still feel that is way to high for using the H50 with push/pull. I don't know what to do next. I have basically run out of ideas.

So, I just reseated the H50 with Artic Silver5, and now my temps are much hotter. Running 75c under load. Guess I should try and reseat it again.

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

I am actually exhausting right now. I have the stock Corsair fan pushing, and the Antec fan that came with my case pulling. But the temps are almost identical to when I only have the Corsair fan pushing.

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

I have the rad and fans mounted on the exhaust point of the Antect 902, blowing as exhaust like this: <- Rad <- In the image I linked in my first post, you can see the speed of the pump and the push fan. The push fan is "CPU" and the pump is "Chassis 2". Corsair said it should run at 1300 to...

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

I am currently using the thermal compound that comes on the H50 as I read it was some of the best stuff. I have some AS5 at home, and I think I am going to mount the i7 stock heatsink and see what type of temps I get. As to ambient localized temps, I guess that could be an issue, but my case...

Corsair H50 - Help, High Stock Temps

Hey Guys, I was hoping I could get some help or advice on my CPU temps. I have been asking on several other forums, but so far no luck. I just built a new system on Thursday, and have been struggling with the Stock temps since then. My System: Antec 902 i7 950 Corsair H50 Asus...

    x58 Motherboard Choice

I had a horrible experience with a Gigabyte motherboard years ago, and an even worse experience with getting their customer service to fix it. Since then I have refused to use Gigabyte. I know that sounds silly, but as a consumer, its my only real option to express my displeasure with them...

    x58 Motherboard Choice

Hey gang, I was wondering if anyone could give some advice on a mobo for a new build. I was planning on waiting till Cyber Monday, but I picked up a i7 950 at Microcenter and now I really want to do my build. I already have the i7 950, Corsair hx850w PSU, and an EVGA 460 gtx card. I am...
