NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Some updates of my build. Previously I had troubles with air bubbles, foamy water and pump noises. Now those problem gone with these updates: Purchase few 45degree adapter and use 45+90 degree fittings for the pump. That reduce kink and improve flows. No more high pressure flow, just...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Will try with double sided tape. That is not a pretty sight at the bottom. Is the heatsink really doing its job? How is the contact between the pump base and the heatsink?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

What is the best possible way to securely mount ddc pump at the bottom front case? Now i have the pump free standing and that cause slight vibration and noise even with the weight from phobya top.

The rheostat is for radiator fans. Thinking of doing it, but not sure if it will damage the pump.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

MCP 355. No speed controller. I think i may have improved the noise level down a bit. I fill up the reservoir as full as i can. The reservoir is too small for high pressure pump i think.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Completed my build. Huge disappointment on the noise level. The high pitch ddc pump, the noise from SFX 600G. It's even louder than my previous air cool stock HSF inside SG08.

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

I will quote you on this. The samples to reach reviewers and the final retail product probably take the same time frame as g-sync did.

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

And what makes you think freesync monitor is not a premium price monitor and probably on TN too for 144hz.

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

It is available worldwide. Nothing is laughable except the non-existent of freesync monitor at this moment. Thus, lot of theoretical claims on freesync monitor. I've went on various forums, youtube comments, most are expecting freesync to be either, 'free', 'no cost', 'upgraded firmware'...

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

what about consoles at 30/60p? What about ntsc digital broadcast at 30p?3:2 pulldown is not solution,it's workaround.

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

HDMI is not on VESA. HDMI is under HDMI founders. But i would love to see that happened. Films run at 24 and some on 48fps *cough peter jackson. And consoles are locked at 30 or 60. So frame interpolation happens on the scaler since tv refresh rate are between 60/100/120/144. So there's...

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

Thanks for bringing the DP1.3 faq. I was about to look out for VESA own words. So it does and it's good. This will only make ALL LCD manufacturer to change their scaler. No longer optional like like DP1.2a. I think anand DP1.3 articles was misinformed on the adaptive sync part

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

Not if VESA have separate spec. DP1.3a just like DP1.2a. Refer to the anandtech articles about VESA DP1.3. It looks like adaptive sync is an optional extension spec.

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

There are several publication saying that. So either they misunderstood AMD, or AMD did not provide enough information on early demos. One of it, http://www.gamersnexus.net/news-pc/1494-amd-freesync-hardware-update-not-necessary I've knew that eDP > DP1.2a alone is not capable of doing what...

    Nvidia adopts Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync)

Tom Peterson from nvidia on PCPER Q&A session implied that AMD will not be able to achieve what nvidia g-sync able to achieve IF there is no change in the scaler. So it will be different. eDP does it differently than what G-sync does. If it does, then the entire industry have to change the...
