Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Probably about a year ago I jumped on a Newegg deal for a Zalman CNPS 9900 Max cpu cooler for dirt cheap, knowing full well that at some point I would be building another rig for myself or someone else. Well, I'm piecing together a budget gaming build for a teen and I wanted to know if I can use...
ahh back in the day I had a Duke Nukem 3D site for all my buddies to download and trade whatever custom maps we were working on in the Build engine and would deathmatch in.... which later evolved into a Shadow Warrior site.. which didn't last very long.
I always preferred Tripod anyway...
Thanks for your help guys one of the main reasons I was drawn towards the 6800 was because it's still an AGP card and wouldn't require an update of all other pc components (motherboard/processor/power supply) and it wouldn't run very hot
hmmm well I've tried searching ebay and classifieds sites for workstation cards but wasn't so lucky with my results... And that's a bummer because I just sold my older rig including the 8800gtx... If I'd known that would perform successfully I would have kept it.
So you all think that...
If someone were to buy a card for professional use in autocad, maya, 3dsm, or others... what would the best bet be?
I've done some research on softmodding Nvidia and ATI cards to mimic their worksation counterparts... I'm curious to know what would a better choice...
Take for example... if...
hhhmmm so do you think the lifetime warranty would be worth the extra cost or not so much... taking into account the average lifespan of computer parts before the next upgrade
What are the main differences between these boards? At a glance, I can't seem to find any that warrant the $50 difference in price (currently after MIR). The specs seem to be the same and the Bios is the same as well. What gives?
thanks guys I already emailed him... just awaiting his response. Yes I'm aware I can do it the old fashion way, but it kills me to find deals online or in classifieds and not be able to share them with others on this board...
I feel like it's going to take forever to get there!!! plus, I...
I'm posting this hopefully to get the attention of some mods here... but I have a pc that I'm parting out and I really would like to take advantage of posting in the classifieds section... unfortunately although I've been a member of this site for years now I've only done some sparse posting...
I just upgraded from my EVGA 8800GTX to a XFX GTX260 Core 216 and I did notice a decent improvement in gaming, plus I read about the 8800 architecture's inability to handles Blu Ray movies without stuttering... and it's a great card especially witht he sub $200 specials going on right now.

I prefer the Zune and the Zune marketplace. Can't wait for the next generation my little friend will...
