Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Have you considered rotating the drive cage so they are vertically oriented, allowing air to rise through them out the top. You can have the power/sata facing down toward the inside of the case, so you can still have easy access pulling them out from the top.
How much are you looking to spend per unit? Also, 3 video outputs can be powered by one video card (most of the newer dual slot GPU's have 4 outputs: 2 DVI, 1 DisplayPort, 1 HDMI), you would just use both DVI ports and then use the DisplayPort with a DisplayPort to HDMI with Audio Active Adapter...
I don't believe you're going to find anything as small as the two cases mentioned in your title that fit a mATX mobo and a dual slot full sized GPU. There are several HTPC cases that will fit your needs, but they're not going to be as small as you're hoping for. Here are several I found just...
Hm, yeah I guess I didn't really think about it like that, it's been a while since I've looked at laptop memory, there's just more variety for desktop memory and I believe it's cheaper, but again, haven't looked in a while. But I like your thinking, I do want things to get smaller.
So.. that is not the Z87E-itx mobo. Apparently they have a version just for the M8. I saw the tiny memory modules and was like whaaaaaaat, laptop sized memory? Not cool. Why would they do that?
Do you recall which one you used? That's the main problem is the loudness of those 40mm fans. I'm thinking of trying to add some type of sound suppression, but not sure how well it will work without limiting air flow. What connectors was it missing? When I look at them, it looks like they...
Ooh this should be interesting. I myself have been considering starting a project case with the same dimensions as your Slim 2 build (except I'm considering a 1U PSU instead of the SFX so I can use an AIO CPU water cooler), so that one has my vote. Slim 1 can definitely fit the most and can be...
I couldn't find the dimensions of the pump/block, but judging from a picture I found, and other pictures, it looks to be about 2", or ~ 50mm, which I believe is close to the height of the i/o shield. But you'll probably have to wait for it to come in to see just how well everything will fit...
I think they are more CPU intensive, but the GPU does come into play with the newer emulators, he had concerns that the intel HD4000 couldn't run the Dolphin Wii emulator very well, it looks like the 8670D was much better than HD4000 so that's why he wants to go with that one, he wanted the best...
