• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

    Post your chair

This is the chair I have here in the 'office' at home: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/690690/Realspace-PRO-Mesh-High-Back-Chair/?cm_cat=2000000371 It's pretty much just as comfortable as the Aeron chair I have at the corporate office.

    Best help desk ticketing system?

The school I work has is using a program called Sys-Aid, from a company called Ilient. Having used Footprints, JIRA, Track-It, and a couple of others- this was an awesome choice for us. It's a fully integrated helpdesk, category based for problems; includes a self-help option, email service...

    SBS 2008 DNS problems

Regrettably, I came into it after things were FUBAR'ed, so I think some of the wizards were run, but can't state so definitively. I've advised the client to contact MS Support directly for next steps.

    SBS 2008 DNS problems

Heh- did that probably 4 times with each change of confg, along with restarting the dns service itself. No change- DNS resolves wonderfully for about 10m, then croaks.

    SBS 2008 DNS problems

I'm helping a client (and fellow [H] member) with a problem at his workplace- they tried a migration from SBS 2003 to 2008. For various reasons it didn't work, and then I got involved. Most things are working, but DNS is causing no end of headaches - it's a pretty simple setup, and appears...

    DIR-655: widely different user experiences?

I can only add my 'me too' to everyone here with good things to say about it. I picked it up based on the [H] recommendation, and I haven't regretted it since then.

    Windows - Command Line Zip

What version of windows? For Xp you can use compact.exe /? to find all the switches for the built-in compression utility, but I don't know if it works with anything newer.

Windows 7 Raises Complaints from Rivals

Um...no? Starting from the first complaint (Win7 blocks ff.com) and on to the end, I don't know where you're getting that info, but it's just wrong.

Player receives Developer item in the mail, one-shots Ulduar - WHOOPS!

I don't play WoW, so perhaps it's something obvious that 'outsiders' don't get- How exactly was the guy supposed to know that the item he received in an email *from Blizzard* wasn't supposed to be used and was a glitch? I mean, I could understand getting banned for purposefully cheating the...

    Who uses WSUS?

Virtually every time I've had a client have a problem with WSUS it's because the GPOs are set up right. I'd double check- make sure they're 'enabled' as needed, and then audit a test machine to make sure the policy is getting to the machines correctly as well.

WTT - 80Gb Ipod (Black) for Zune

I want to trade my 80GB iPod classic for an 80GB Zune, preferably black, but I don't care which colour. If interested, I can post pics of my iPod. It's currently in a plastic anti-scratch case.
