I'm trying to fix my friends Gateway 450sx4 laptop. The problem is every time I try to power it up the LED's flash on real fast then back off 1 sec after. It will not turn on any further than that. I tried moving the power cord around to see if it was making good contact and it is.

I use this sunbeam http://www.jab-tech.com/Sunbeam-5-1-4-Rheobus-Kit-BLACK-pr-2530.html cheap and it works. I run 3/120mm fans on #1 control for my rad. 2 /80mm on #2 another 2/80mm on #3 and 2 black lights on #4. Everything works fine. Only complaint is the LED's are a little bright.
I made the mistake of buying the ocz ramsinks when I ordered my maze4 low profiles. I used them but had to grinde down the ones under the barbs. Little pissed at DD for this. But still works fine.
