Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hmm, I haven't tried this yet but would the built in Resolution Scale be essentially the same thing as selecting a different resolution in the in-game graphics settings? (i.e 1200P just a lower percentage of 1600P)
Interesting, I'll have to try that. But I'm not a big fan of black bars (OCD)...
Thanks, I agree it's a tradeoff I need to consider.
However, maybe I need to be more specific with my question, since I'm more concerned with playing at 1200P on a 1600P monitor. Basically, is it better to use the display's native resolution in almost all cases? I simply haven't spent enough...
I've tried doing a search on this topic but wasn't able to find anything using these rather broad search terms.
I'm currently using a 7970 Ghz and a 2560X1600 Dell Ultrasharp monitor. I can pretty much game Battlefield 4 on High settings with a stable 60fps (v-sync on), but at Ultra it will...
mZimm, in my own experience, mounting the A70 was really not a problem at all for me. I read a lot of negative reviews concerning the lack of documentation, but at the end of the day, I was more concerned about the product itself. On the Corsair forums, there was a PDF guide that I opened up...
Wow.. that sounds almost to good to be true. I was somewhat hesitant in reinstalling Windows only because it would have to write another ~15 gigs (yes, I know I'm being anal) - and since I literally installed the SSD today, I'd rather have to reinstall a few programs then mess with the registry...
Hello all. I've just installed my new SSD and have been doing some research on optimizing the installation and configuration of SSD's. There really is a vast amount of information on this subject, and I was hoping some of you could enlighten me on the subject.
First, I installed my SSD in the...
Well, I finally put together the new PC. Applied the stock thermal paste by putting very thin lines along the copper heat pipes - it's sitting in my case at the moment at 29C and hasn't gone much past 30 under some load (installing 3-4 programs with a game running - might do some real testing...
Interesting. If that is the case, then it seems like a 30GB/80GB might not be the best idea, particularly if I'm using programs from both partitions. I'm curious as to what types of partitions you and others create when short-stroking... For an OS and other programs, I should probably dedicate...
Thanks everyone. I'm putting together a new system and for the moment using a Samsung F3 1TB. When SSD prices come down a bit (hopefully around Q1 2011) I'll jump on a SSD. For current usage though, would you suggest making a partition of 30GB on a 1TB drive for Windows 7? For that matter, would...
Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago I read something on this forum about a program that could identify the fastest sectors on a drive, which one would then install the operating system on. Been trying to find that post ever since, but I can't seem to locate it or find any other information on it...
Thanks for the suggestion. I think I'll go with the stock paste for now.. not sure what constitutes a "lower-mounting pressure" but perhaps I'll keep that in mind during installation.
I just bought the A70 too and was wondering if anyone can comment on the included thermal paste (I read somewhere that it was the equivalent of Dow Corning TC-5022). It seems like there is an overwhelming amount of recommendations to use pastes such as AS5. As I have no previous experience in...
