I think my ViewSonic vx2235wm have bad capacitors too, I haven't gotten a chance to check what capacitors are needed. Where did you purchase the replacement capacitors?

Seems like your card is defective. That's how my XFX 7900GT was acting before XFX advised me to RMA it sometime ago.

My dv2890nr died on me recently, I did the heat gun fix and it worked for a very short period. Do you suggest getting a replacement motherboard from ebay, or should I sell it as parts and get another?:confused:

Am I better off getting a 2x2 G.SKILL Ripjaws kit as opposed to the Corsair XMS3 PC3-12800? If yes, I may be able to get a slightly better PSU.
