I shutdown again and power back on and it's still at 240hz. My HDR is Peak 1000. The cable I'm using is Asus but I'm not sure if it's from my Asus PG32UQX or the PG27AQDM that I returned a while back. I don't have a second monitor only one connected to my GPU, a 4090. I'm using the latest...
Have you tried changing the DP cable? I got the monitor today, updated the firmware, played some games and shutdown my PC. Turned it back on and it still saved at 240hz. This is with HDR on in Win 11 and monitor.
There's a firmware that's consider critical for this monitor:

I saw BadSeed review and he mentions there are two fan speed you can choose. I'm wondering what's the benefit of setting the speed to the highest unless there's a drawback when setting to low. More risk of burn in?
People here weren't kidding when they said how dim OLED's are. I've been using this monitor for two years since release and decided to try my first OLED Asus 240hz 1440p. After a week I'm back to using this and returning the OLED. The pixel response time is faster and clearer, but I didn't think...
What do you think of level 3 variable backlight? I'm using level 3 and notice is a bit faster lighting up the zones but brighter blooming compare to 2.
There's a misunderstanding. I said photos make the haloing worse because I actually have both monitors here. I was replying to this specific comment "This scene looks drastically better on the older PG27UQ with far less zones and being the first real FALD gaming monitor." I assume you don't have...
I have both a PG27UQ and this PG32. In that same scene the PG27 had bigger halos than the PG32. Again you can't judge a monitor from a photo. Not just for FALD's but even edge lit IPS will show more glow on camera than in person.
For those that are curious below is the PG27 that you can...
Just wanted to add that taking pictures of a monitor make the bloom look a lot worse than it really is. My PG32UQX does not look like the picture of the left but instead more like the picture on the right. It's something that's hard to prove unless you are here seeing it from my desk. Still, the...
I also didn't notice any smearing that's noticeable or bad enough to return it in either. I saw one person on Reddit that said they can't tell the difference between this monitor and a OLED when it comes to pixel response. So I don't know if this something that's different for each person.
I'm confused about the input lag. TFTCentral has it at 2.50ms while pcmonitors.info has 2.57ms with variable backlight off, but 12.68ms with variable backlight on. Do they measure it differently? I don't think TFTCentral mention if their 2.5ms is with variable backlight on or off. Although...
