Hd 5850 with three screens. Some games were a pain to setup or didn't work at all with eyefinity, but overall experience was peak. Lots of racing games on that.

Now you have an "estimate" of when it might ship. Some people in the reservation queue are being told 2027.
Mine says "between now and December 30, 2026".
Nice, thought they were still taking a hit but even then curious what that hit would be with the offset of other data resale. R&D yeah, all wrapped up in their entire ecosystem. Makes me curious what real pricing will be for future devices in...
I had Voodoo 2 in SLI as well and while it was great I was also an image quality guy and was actually quite happy when all in 1 video cards meant you didn’t need 3 slots used and did not have to settle for imperfect image quality. 3dfx made you...
I am on the reserved list for the 256 version. I am not expecting a jump visually from my Reverb G2, but being able to run it off my main computer will allow me to play at higher or highest settings so I'll be happy. Tracking is my main point...
Linux may only protect you from the OS side of it. If you run a game, application or tool from a company utilizing this technology if implemented it will be monitoring you. So while better, Linux is still impacted.
7970 was a great card! And it kept staying solid for sooo long. Nothing for a while after it really moved the needle far enough ahead for me to justify the cost :o Until the 1080 Ti. Which I ran till the 50XX series turned out to be vaporware...
Perfect Dark VR - v1.2-beta released earlier this week seems like the dev(s) are on top of regular updates:
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug where weapons disappear.
Fixed a bug affecting headset rotation when pressing the Grip button.
[Unconfirmed –...
Ahh, memory Lane. My 1080 Ti is still running my VR setup until I can replace the headset and use my current computer. Sadly my 4600 Ti was sold for my 6600 GT, the SLI adapter for the Voodoo 2 was sold for the Geforce 2 MX 32, and that was...
I have soft spots for two cards:
The Creative 3D Blaster PCI — it was my first, and as a Rendition card it meant I was playing 3D-accelerated Quake before all the 3dfx latecomers.
The GeForce 256 — it wasn't just the first GPU (according to...
At one point, I would have said the Radeon HD 5870 would have been my favorite GPU of all time. First DX11 GPU and it caught Nvidia completely off guard. It was uncontested for 6 months until Nvidia released “Fermi” which turned out to be the GPU...
I've posted it before, but my favorite will always be the 9800xt. It wasn't my first, and obviously not my last, but it was the first time I bought the absolute best-of-the-best available at that time. Couple that with the fact that it came...
8800 GT, my friend has 8800 GTS in SLI with 384 mb of vram, totally choked in crysis. Ran decently on my GPU on low settings. Also, 250 bucks for an experience well beyond the ps3 and xbox 360. Playing Oblivion on that card vs. my 360 was night...
