Denon AVR-1613 and HTPC with AMD 3200 integrated grahics no signal detected

Thanks for the insight. Yup its only the HTPC that gives problems. Everything else works well. I even tried to boot off another copy of windows to see if that solves the problem. No Go. Once the ATI drivers installed same problem. I guess I'll try to see if I can snag a cheap nvidia card to...

Denon AVR-1613 and HTPC with AMD 3200 integrated grahics no signal detected

No other video card. I disabled HDMI control on Receiver and Viera Link on TV and still a no go. Still showing as a Non PNP Monitor. most likely going to try to replace the receiver and hope that fixes the problem.

Denon AVR-1613 and HTPC with AMD 3200 integrated grahics no signal detected

Yup you are right. It is a driver/resolution issue. I can boot into safe mode just fine. if I change the resolution to 800x600 it works okay. If I install the AMD 4200 Driver (integrated graphics is 4200 not 3200) I loose video majority of the time....There are rare cases when I do get the video...

Hi I have a HPTC, 2 yrs running with win7 64 bit with Onkyo SR606 receiver that was working flawlessly. I just switched my receiver to denon avr 1613 and now something really odd is happening. No Signal is being detected from the HDMI port from the HTPC to receiver. Here is everything I have...

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Thanks for your help everyone. I ended up buying the Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Plus. It came with a thermal glue mixture that was suppose to be used to apply mini heatsinks to the memory units. Unfortunately I poured that glue into a container for the glue and it did not mix properly and does...

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Thanks for the help! Actually started looking for aftermarket coolers and saw this Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 it goes for $20 at some places. (i'm paying $11.50 for fan alone) I'm going to be using this card for basic use. No Overclocking. Even after I replace the fan who knows is the temps will...

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Ahh dammit...I took the top cover off. Then was able to get all but 2 of the screws off from the top cover that I needed to expose the heatsink and the fan and I think the last two screws are stripped....Any way I can open this now or am I stuck with what I have? I used a Phillips #0 screwdriver...

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Thanks for the advice on how to open the card properly. Any picture of what the thermal pads look like? I took a look at this article for disassembling the card there is no mention of the thermal pads in here. http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/sapphire_hd5850/2.htm

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Ran GPU-Z GPU Core Clock was 157. GPU memory clock is 300.0. Temps were running at 47...on the OSX it can run in mid 50's. I guess I'll go ahead and order the new fan.

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

actually I pushed down on the fan...read somewhere that helps to reduce the rattling...and it doesn't rattle anymore...noise is much less. Idle Temps still run b/t 50-60 and only game I have is civilization and that after I am done playing that it runs around 70. Will replacing the fan still...

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

It looks like a reference card. Look exactly like the one in this picture from newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121361 All the reference cards I have seen in review sites look just like this so I assume a reference card.

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Using Single Monitor. I had a DP port to DVI converter...noticed when I boot the computer from that the fan runs really loud and rattles quite a bit. I read somewhere this had to do with using a passive vs. active display port cable or converter. So went back to using the DVI port. I looked at...

Asus ATI 5850 - Loud fan noise on idle

Hi I just bought a used Asus ATI 5850. Bumped up from HD3000 graphics. The card seems to be fully functional...but idles at 60 C. If I play a game is runs into 70's - 80s. The fan is mild to moderately audible through the case at idle and very audible once it hits 70's. I was wondering a)...
