Just a thought. I'm really interested in this monitor, but when I had a BenQ and used a HDMI cable, my desktop resolution could not reach 1920x1200. It ran a bit less, due to some restrictions on output via HDMI. Will I have the same problem on this monitor when using a HDMI to DVI cable?
UPDATE. I now bought a pretty expensive DVI cable. Same problem. Tried hooking the monitor up to a Dell XPS laptop. Same problem. Just moving this windows with the black and red colors around drags shadows. I guess the monitor is going back. Anyone has a alternative to what I should try out instead?
Cable is the one that came with the monitor, the gfx is a inno3D 800GTX. I'll try ordering a high quality dvi cable tomorrow. But I don't think ghosting is a valid RMA case, though, since my guess is that it's the standard of the screen. I've seen my number of screens and I would like to think I...
It's not all games that it's that bad. In Far Cry, I can barely see any ghosting. But in HL2, F.E.A.R. and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which are all pretty dark games in places, it's very bad. So I don't think it's the cable. Pretty annoying, for a monitor this expensive...
Well, just got mine today. But after reading some reviews and threads on this forum, I must say I'm a bit disappointed in this monitor.
First of all, the ghosting is insane. Much worse than I expected. Tested it in FEAR and Half-Life 2 so far, and the ghosting is clearly very visible. I've...
You got to be f....... kidding me? I just stumpled over this thread: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1168778
So, I just ordered this monitor, and know I find out that this monitor also have a problem? Can someone confirm that 1080p inputs are displayed incorrectly? With black bars...
Well, as mentioned some pages ago, I had problems with the DVI input on my monitor. New cable, but it's the same. Screen goes black. Then used a DVI to HDMI cable. That works but only up to 1920X1080.
Furthermore, it is quite impossible to get a straight answer on how and when BenQ will...
The VGA works fine. The DVI cable is firmly in place and I have tha latest video driver from Nvidia. Pretty annoying considering how expensive this monitor is.
I recieved my FP241W today. Unfortunatly, it's from november 2006, so I need to have the firmware updated. I have a 8800GTX, and get a black screen when using a DVI cable. There's a lot of pages in this tread, so I'm sorry if the problem has been covered already.
Have anyone found a way to...
So I ordered the BenQ FP241WZ here in Denmark. I wrote to BenQ (UK) to hear if I could check if my monitor actually have the new firmware installed. They answered:
Dear Sir,
The firmware has not yet been released or implemented. We don't don't
have a release date for this as it is still...
I just ordered the FP241WZ here in Denmark and contacted BenQ to clarify this subject. They say, that the firmware is still being tested and my monitor doesen't have this firmware intalled. Also, they can not answer me as to how I can get the firmware when it's released. :-/
