Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm running a pretty conservative OC @ 4.2ghz on the 7900x. Idling around 30c and I've been between 46-53c under load. Cooling it with a Corsair 280mm AIO.
I only bumped the voltage to a static 1.1v, which isn't much different than if you left it on auto in the uefi.
I recall seeing the gigabyte one on the shelf, but I wasn't looking specifically at any of the other ones. They have a ton of boards in there, so if I was guessing I'd have to say they'll have a few to choose from.
I don't think I got the bonus discount either, I asked about it in addition, but...
Just a heads up if you're near a Microcenter- They aren't listed on the website yet but my location (Boston) had multiple Asus Zenith's on the shelf and TRs in stock. Probably the case for other locations. Cancelled my amazon preorder.
There is tax, but the Asus board rang up at $519.99.
I pre-purchased a board.
Jury is stil out if I'm going 1900x or 1950x. I primarily game so the latter would be for epeen. I'm assuming that the 1900x would actually probably perform better gaming-wise due to the clocks.
Has anyone seen information/availability on coolers other than the Noctua...
On a side note, how does the Nvidia branded card compare to a reference from another manufacturer?
I'm guessing the reference EVGA and Nvidia branded cards are literally the exact same made in the exact same place only difference being warranty/support?
Microcenter is wildly inconsistent in policy across the country. Just left Cambridge MA about an hour ago with a reference EVGA. They had 5 total and opened at 9:30 to sell to us one at a time for $50 markup. No game bundle.
I'm in the same boat as all of you.
I've upgraded SLI each time 580--> 1080.
Given the rapidly diminishing applications/importance of SLI even for high res high fps gaming, I feel like the 1080 TI will finally be the card I drop back down to 1 for.
I have 1080s in SLI- the games I play have good compatibility. In some cases the Titan X is better where the games don't have compatibility.
This is kinda a champagne dilemma, so do you homework-either way you're going to get blistering performance.
