Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yeah pretty good, this is a small-ish site. So the 3750x has 6 switches in the stack, the first 2 are for ESX servers, so NICs are spread across the two for redundancy etc. Switch 1 has the Primary WAN, Switch 2 has the Backup WAN for further resiliency.
The rest of the switches in the stack are...
Just a couple of 3560G access switches in one of the smaller DC's i look after. Fibre port channels to a 3750x core stack.
Sorry for the massive size, this forum does not auto size. :(
Just another remote site I have been working on, it's pretty much finished now.
Rack has the following:
Bunch of HP Servers (ESX), and a few HP P4500 iSCSI SANs.
Cisco 3750X Stack as the Core Switch for the site
HP somethings as the iSCSI SAN Switches
Cisco Voice Gateway
Cisco Router (WAN)...
How come? What's weird about a 24port RJ45 Cat6 patch panel? (Two bottom ones)
The top one is slightly different, but serves the same purpose.
Yeah, sorry - this forum doesn't auto re-size and I can't be bothered doing it myself.
Not got the rack powered up yet, but with only 2 switches, and a WAN router, from those two - probably 4-5 hours. Maybe more. Will let you know once it's powered up and i have SNMP to the UPS's.
A remote site I have been putting together. Nothing special. WAN services not in yet. Just a bunch of PC's, Printers, WAPs connecting to a WLAN controller(s) at our Primary DC. WAN services will connect into our MPLS cloud.
Just 2x 3560x's, until the WAN comes in for now, which may be an 1801...
The not so pretty side of being the IT guy. We have recently closed this site/server room down, so having to move data, retire servers, unplug stuff, throw stuff away, figure out what we want to keep, want to rebuild etc. List goes on and on.
Most of the stuff is thankfully being retired, our...
Check out the AMX stuff for home automation. Very cool stuff we are doing with it around our offices.
- Air con control
- TV/LCD/Blue Ray/Free to Air etc control
- Phone Control (Integration into Cisco Call Manager)
- Meeting Room Control (Integration into Exchange)
- Lighting Control...
That sucks! Here it's more just the 1st run which costs .. if you are bundling 9 more cables with it, it's not 9x the cost. Just the extra time for labour to terminate 9 more at each end, and obviously the cost of 9 more lengths of ethernet, which is pretty cheap. $100 or so for 305metres.
How much extra is it to pull 2 cables than one at the same time though?
I would have said the main cost would have been associated with having to double your switching capacity, especially for large environments.
It's always good to pull 2 drops through anyway, if you have an issue with 1...
It is, but we've noticed that if we lose a switch, or do any work, it also disconnects their PC. This way we can avoid that, and also visually see what is what, rather just just a big blue jungle. We had the capacity, so we thought screw it, just plug everything in seperately. Obviously not cost...
