Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Huh, didnt realize that. Hopefully the next ff game uses dx12 :) On the bright side, If its really only taxing 5 cores, then an r5 should do nearly as well as those r7s. And I suppose at the resolution I want to play at, its really going to be gpu-limited anyways, so its somewhat moot.
I assumed that since this was a ps4 game it would be better optimized to use more cores than that. But I guess it just goes to show that using more cores is tricky business!
Thanks for the advice, I use this pc for work in addition to gaming, and most of the motivation for the upgrade is to use a higher resolution monitor for both. I do also fiddle around with 3d modeling and game development as a hobby, so the inexpensive multi cores certainly wont hurt! But...
Hey thanks for posting, Seems like your rig does about as well at high res as mine does at 720p!
Of course your video card is also much better, With my GTX 960, and i5 2400k I got 10,312 at your 720p settings.
They released a new benchmark tool for final fantasy 14 today.
It is a dx11 game that tends to be cpu-bound, I've heard that more cores tends to help it out so I thought it might be a game that Ryzem does well in.
