    In gaming performance AMD hasn't noticeably slipped too much. I just read about the Phenom II x4 965 beating the i7 920 in some games. I have to find the article and I will post that shortly.

    You may be figuring wrongly. Many games don't support crossfire. It doesn't hurt just to wait and see what the 10th will bring.
