    what happens if you do a zfs send to a destination smaller than the source? can it be 'finished' once the receiving end has enough space with an incremental send?

    How much of a performance hit is there if you add a new vdev to a pool after the current vdev's are full? Basically, is having data distributed unevenly across vdevs a huge deal for a home NAS? Is it worth destroying/rebuilding for? Reference...

    Whats the best way to test/check this, just listen to the drive? I have 3 of them in a zdev (along with 2 wd green drives), and they have been performing fine.
