Pax Dei is pretty good so far.. I built a little base and have run around a lot.. getting my bearings. Gathering isn't too tedious. Game is gorgeous.
EDIT: Servers are melting down today lol.
Ya but Nvidia SLI was still very exciting and reminded us of 3dfx SLI. 2 cards, same as 3dfx, but also the option for 3 or 4! 4 way SLI like the voodoo5 6000 :)
In spirit it was the same. Still a fun time in pc graphics and new cool stuff was...
ya technically I guess, but SLI will always be scan line interleave... none of that scalable link interface nonsense! now get off my lawn! *waves fist at clouds*
"The drivers also extend performance uplifts to the Arc iGPUs powering Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" processors. Tested at 1080p with medium or default settings, you can expect an up to 10% increase for "American Truck Simulator," an up to 17%...
Intel has consistently updated drivers for these cards with large performance and stability gains across the board.. At launch these cards were rough but now totally an option in their price/performance category.. I look forward to what...
Well at least Intel is still trying.
The tech they are pushing for anything not DX11/12 or Vulkan is pretty awesome.
It’s all translation layers, I’m just happy they haven’t thrown in the towel.
They are at least trying to improve things and...
Glad I stuck with my 13700kf. I had to also reel in the voltage that MSI was dosing my cpu with at default.. it made the cpu shoot up over 100c during just the normal intel bench marking tool.
EDIT: I wonder if the higher default P core clocks...
Nice.. I have it installed and am going to play today if the servers hold up. Gonna try it on my Legion Go also just for grins. I like crafting if the gathering portion goes fast enough and the mechanics are good, environment is nice etc.. This...
Oh, msi got some swag as well:
Unfortunately, it's on a separate magnetic plate, with a goofy "G" cutout for the fins. Still pretty nice, though.

Interesting.. I remember it was a quake2 bummer cause of that openGL thing. Maybe it was only software support ??
Edit: It’s been a hot minute.. i remember the TNT being the quake2 upgrade that blew my mind. The 128 did D3D at high resolutions...
I never had the original voodoo's couldn't afford it back then.
But now I got this...
Notice the chip part# -320
the 355-0026-320 is the 200Mhz VSA100 chip, vs the -220 166Mhz version widely used on the voodoo 4's and 5's.
Those...
The first computer "graphics" were on a CPU.
So the term GPU is moving that work that the CPU did to the GPU.
I would say the voodoo chips were accelerators, but didn't move the whole workload.
The CPU-GPU boundary in 1999:
In 1997, 3Dlabs...
I tried No Rest for the Wicked yesterday (early access) and the mouse/kb support is jacked. It's very pretty though and seems like after a year of further development it could be a really good game.
I tried to get into Dragon's Dogma 2...
