    I'[ve tried the OEM drivers, I've tried the latest nvida drivers (with a modded INF so I can run the current 296.10, and I've gotten the current chipset drivers from intel. Maybe i have an iffy mainboard? (I've done a few OS reinstalls)

    It's an i7 2630QM. at 1080p on an external display it gets choppy. Im at 8GB memory, and a 128GB corsair M4 SSD. Beyond that it's the principal of the thing. My base system is a Dell XPS 17 if you want to know.
